Which law firms is AS Legal for?
For small and mid-sized law firms in Germany and Austria that handle large proceedings: white-collar crime, civil litigation, insolvency administration and internal investigations. Smaller proceedings work just as well. For each case file you choose German or Austrian law, which decides where the search for statutes and case law looks.
How large can a case file be?
There is no fixed limit. The largest case file in AS Legal to date has 139,000 pages in 5,000 documents and is searched in a single chat.
Which file formats does AS Legal process?
PDF, Word (DOC, DOCX), emails (MSG, EML), text and HTML files, and images (PNG, JPG, TIFF). Scanned documents become readable through text recognition. Alternatively, AS Legal takes the documents over from your document management system (DMS).
Which statutes and decisions are included?
German and Austrian statutes and case law, EU law with the case law of the CJEU, and the German trade register. German and Austrian statutes are updated weekly.
